Who Are We?

Cardinal Youth Association (CYA) is a legally recognized, community-based organization headquartered in Mombasa, Kenya.

CYA is dedicated to transforming communities by empowering youth, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) through targeted, inclusive programs in civic education, environmental sustainability, social justice, leadership development, and democratic participation.

Our mission is deeply rooted in the principles of equity, peace, inclusion, and sustainability, making CYA a vital agent of grassroots change in Kenya and beyond.

WHAT WE DO
OUR SERVICES

1. Empower youth, women, and PWD

We provide inclusive opportunities for skills development, leadership training, and mentorship, ensuring that marginalized groups have access to the resources and platforms they need to thrive economically, socially, and politically.

Over 14,000 trees already planted in Dongo Kundu, Pungu Villa, Jomvu & Mikindani with full youth and women participation.

Facilitated 30+ public forums across Mombasa to promote voter education, peaceful elections, and citizen participation in governance — targeting youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

PWD & Women Empowerment Circles

Launched inclusive mentorship and training programs in partnership with CBOs, supporting economic empowerment, advocacy skills, and leadership development.

Youth Servant Leadership & SDG Training Series

Designed to groom ethical, community-rooted leaders, this ongoing program links grassroots leadership to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Kenya’s Vision 2030.
