The Mombasa Hope for Cerebral Palsy Self Help Group — a registered community under the Cardinal Youth Association — celebrated World Cerebral Palsy Day with a special event dedicated to children with cerebral palsy and their families.
This day was all about raising awareness, reducing stigma, and fostering inclusion through meaningful activities and support for families who face daily challenges.
Cardinal Youth Association (CYA) is a legally recognized, community-based organization headquartered in Mombasa, Kenya. CYA is dedicated to transforming communities by empowering youth, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) through targeted, inclusive programs in civic education, environmental sustainability, social justice, leadership development, and democratic participation. Our mission is deeply rooted in the principles of equity, peace, inclusion, and sustainability, making CYA a vital agent of grassroots change in Kenya and beyond.
